Garuda Indonesia launches direct international flight services at Soekarno-Hatta Airport T3
TIN news: National airline Garuda Indonesia and state-owned airport services company Angkasa Pura II have launched new Garuda Indonesia international flight services at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
The launch of new direct international flights was marked by the departure of aircraft GA 820 on Jakarta - Kuala Lumpur route and the arrival of flight GA 823 serving the Singapore - Jakarta route.
Garuda Indonesia president & CEO Pahala N Mansury said: "The presence of this international Terminal 3 service will not only be a concrete step towards the development of competitive infrastructure and transportation services Global, but also a milestone for the development of national tourism aspects in the eyes of the world."
Angkasa Pura II president director and CEO Muhammad Awaluddin added: “Angkasa Pura II is optimistic that the operation of international flights in Terminal 3 can further make Soekarno-Hatta Airport one of the supporters of tourism growth, in addition to the increase of Indonesia's economy.”
In addition, Angkasa Pura II has expanded Terminal 3 with facilities supporting parking spaces that can accommodate about 1,200 private vehicles for regular parking.
With the introduction of new international flight services in Terminal 3, the airline will be able to expand the capacity of its pre-post flight service.
Garuda Indonesia will operate 26 check-in counters at Soekarno-Hatta Airport’s Terminal 3 and increase the capacity of its executive lounge to accommodate 350 passengers in business class and 56 in first class
