Aeronautical industry supplier, DF Núcleo, has been awarded a contract to equip air traffic control towers (ATC) of five Algerian airports including Algiers, Constantine, Ghardaia, Oran and Tamanrasset.

Nucleo will deliver, install and commission state-of-the-art air traffic control communications equipment for the control towers and technical room of the airports, as part of the contract.

The equipment to be installed includes a voice over internet protocol (VoIP) communication system, multi-protocol test equipment, a VHF communication system, and emergency power equipment.

Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport has appointed Synectics to design an integrated end-to-end solution for the new Airport Operational Command & Control Center (AOCC) at the airport.

The new solution will be integrated with the existing Synergy 3 command and control software to provide terminal operations, such as third-party alarms, security and process control sub-systems, video, and data to be monitored, recorded and managed from a single platform.

The integrated system enables comprehensive situational awareness across all aspects of operations at both airport terminals 1 and 2, enhancing decision-making for management.

The contractual scope includes planning for terminal and landside development programme, indicative five and ten-year capital plans, and associated simulation modelling services.

The development strategy will make the airport ready to accommodate the projected capacity of 17 million passengers a year by 2040.
