Air Vanuata opts for ACP Worldwide in Australia and New Zealand
Airline Air Vanuatu has appointed ACP Worldwide as its cargo general sales agent for Australia and New Zealand.
The contract starts on July 1 and will see ACP provide sales, marketing, reservations, customer service and import functions for the national flag carrier of the Pacific Island nation of Vanuatu, based in Port Vila.
Air Vanuatu operates a freight link around the islands of Vanuatu and between: Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia and Fiji.
The company has been managing its own cargo sales representation in the region for the past few years and has "high expectations of ACP Worldwide with the aim of enhancing distribution and sales activity throughout the territory".
"The ACP team will be tasked with delivering valuable revenue growth for Air Vanuatu, exploiting its position as the carrier of choice for Australian and New Zealand forwarders and exporters to the South Pacific," the companies said.
Air Vanuatu offers online capacity on its 737-800 passenger services that operate five times per week ex Sydney in addition to three flights per week from Brisbane to Port Vila, one of which operates via Espiritu Santo in northern Vanuatu.
Forwarders in New Zealand are also able to access cargo capacity on 3 weekly flights ex Auckland direct to Port Vila.
