Thailand Stops International Flights By 16 Of Its Carriers
Thai authorities have blocked several airlines from flying internationally after they did not meet a deadline for having their air operator’s certificates (AOCs) reissued.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) had set Aug. 31 as the deadline for gaining new AOCs. Having all airlines inspected and reissuing AOCs is regarded as a crucial step in resolving ICAO concerns about Thailand’s aviation safety oversight.
