Singapore switches four freighter flights to Brussels from Amsterdam
Brussels Airport has confirmed that Singapore Airlines Cargo (SIA Cargo) will switch four freighter flights a week to the Belgian hub from its current base at Amsterdam Schiphol after the Netherlands gateway was forced to axe up to 35 freighter aircraft slots per week.
The transfer, which takes place at the end of October, will see SIA Cargo halve its freighter flight schedule at Schiphol.
It is possible that Brussels will win further freighter flights from Schiphol, although this could not be confirmed.
Russian carrier AirBridgeCargo is also to switch a number of freighter flights, this time to Belgian hub Liege, as a result of the Schiphol slot shortage.
