Oman Air Increases Capacity to Duqm
Oman Air, the national airline for the Sultanate of Oman, has increased its frequency from Muscat to the port town of Duqm in central-eastern Oman in response to growing demand.
Flights have increased in the winter schedule which came into effect on 29th October. Oman Air now operates six flights a week on its 737-800 aircraft, instead of the five that it operated during the summer.
The new Tuesday flight, which takes just under 90 minutes, will depart Muscat at 12.50 arriving in Duqm at 14.15 and departing Duqm at 15.00 arriving in Muscat at 16.25. This new day of operation is in addition to the existing flights that Oman Air operates same timings to and from Duqm on Monday and Thursday.
On Wednesday the flight departs from Muscat at 08.30 with the arrival in Duqm at 09.55 and departs from Duqm at 10.40 with an arrival in Muscat at 12.05. The flight On Saturday departs from Muscat at 15.00 arriving in Duqm at 16.25 and departs from Duqm at 17.00 arriving in Muscat at 18.25. And on Sunday: 07.35 departure from Muscat arrives in Duqm at 09.00; 09.45 departure from Duqm arrives in Muscat at 11.10.
Duqm is an industrial port town of great commercial importance, which has experienced vast development since 2008. As a Special Economic Zone, it attracts investors from around the world.
