Rouhani calls for broadening of Iran-China ties
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a message to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping called for expanding mutual cooperation.
“I hope, we will witness further development of ties between the two great Asian civilizations in all bilateral, regional and international fields,” President Rouhani said in his message on Sunday congratulating his Chinese counterpart on the occasion of the 68th Anniversary of Establishment of the People’s Republic of China.
“I sincerely congratulate your Excellency, the government and the people of China on the anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China,” the Iranian president added.
In relevant remarks in June, Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Wang Di underlined that Beijing deems expansion of relations with Tehran as of paramount importance, and said that this will surely help to the restoration of regional stability and tranquility.
“China has good relations with Iran and it is ready to further expand bilateral relations,” Wang said.
He, meantime, said that Beijing always supports Iran’s talks with its Southern neighbors, adding, “My country is for the expansion of relations between Tehran and Beijing to promote regional stability.”
Wang reiterated that effective measures have been taken so far to pave the way for negotiations between Tehran and the Arab states of the Persian Gulf and these measures can be fruitful.
“All regional countries are in need of sustainable development and China has good relations with Tehran and the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, hence effective measures have to be taken to promote regional stability,” the ambassador added.
