Regus to open new office lounge at Birmingham Airport
TIN news: Luxembourg workspace provider Regus has signed an agreement to open a new Express Lounge at UK's Birmingham Airport.
The company says that with the new lounge, business people and mobile workers will no longer have to struggle to work or meet in noisy concourses or lounges when doing their jobs on the go.
The Regus Lounge at Birmingham Airport will feature meeting rooms, a business lounge, secure Wi-Fi, access to office facilities such as printers and scanners, free refreshments, as well as professional admin support.
The work facilities at the lounge can be accessed by both domestic and international passengers, just minutes from their check-in desk or arrival area.
Birmingham Airport commercial head Richard Gill said: "With more than nine million passengers a year, and a growing number of business passengers opting to use Birmingham Airport, we want to provide the best facilities for people who need to work whilst they are travelling through the airport.
"Our agreement with Regus will support this aim. The company is uniquely experienced in supporting mobile workers and anticipating their needs and we look forward to the launch later this year."
The deal is part of the Regus' 'Thirdplace' roll-out concept that offers professional workspaces and office facilities at places where business people and mobile workers pass through daily.
Regus Thirdplace global head Phil Kemp said: "Technology gives people 24/7 access to the office, but they still find their productivity disrupted by the lack of a professional place to work or meet away from home or the office.
"The growing Regus Express network remedies this issue. With our launch at Birmingham Airport, air travel here will become much more productive. People will be able to meet a colleague, or prepare for a meeting whilst waiting for a flight, or when they fly into the airport."
The company has already launched its Regus Express facilities at Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, as well as motorway service stations, shopping centres and retail parks across the UK.
