China COSCO, Vale sign agreement on iron ore shipping
TIN news: On March 18, 2016, the signing ceremony of a long-term transportation agreement between China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited and Vale was held in Beijing Ocean Plaza.
Under the witness of China COSCO Shipping Chairman Xu Lirong and Vale President & CEO Murilo Ferreira, the agreement was signed by Mr. Ye Weilong, E.V.P of China COSCO Shipping, and Mr. Luiz Meriz, Executive Manager for Shipping and Iron Ore Marketing of Vale.
According to the agreement, China Ore Shipping will carry about 16 million tons of iron ore per year for Vale in the coming 27 years. The signing of the agreement marks the commencement of a new chapter of the cooperation between the two companies.
