Abu Dhabi Airport reports ۲۲.۵% rise in April passenger traffic

TIN news: UAE's Abu Dhabi International Airport (ADIA) has reported a 22.5% rise in passenger traffic to 1.62 million passengers in April, compared with the corresponding period last year
The number of aircraft movements for the month saw an increase of 16.4% and the airport handled 60,059t of cargo, up 16.6% compared with 51,511t in April 2013.
The top five routes from ADIA during April were Bangkok, Manila, London Heathrow, Doha and Jeddah.

Abu Dhabi Airports chief operations officer Ahmad Al Haddabi said: "Abu Dhabi Airports is on track to handle this significant increase in air traffic through the upgrade and expansion of our facilities, exciting new retail offerings and integration of services to ensure a world-class travel experience for passengers.
"We are looking forward to a busy summer programme."
Abu Dhabi International Airport offers services to over 40 international airlines, connecting the UAE's capital with more than 96 destinations worldwide. It expects to see more flights from its other airline partners this year, especially in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain.
In addition, more aircraft will fly to Pakistan with extra flights to Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar and Rahim Yar Khan, while Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore will also see 14 extra flights a week from Abu Dhabi.
