Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (the Register, RS) will be a participant to the 18th International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for Oil and Gas Industries – NEFTEGAZ 2018 to be held on 16 – 19 April 2018 at Expocentre Fairgrounds, Moscow.
At the exhibition, RS will introduce its services on classification and technical supervision of offshore oil-and-gas facilities including mobile offshore drilling units and oil deposits, fixed offshore platforms and offloading terminals, subsea production systems and subsea pipelines.
The RS class is assigned to 5 fixed offshore platforms (the other 8 are under construction and 2 − at the design stage), including those intended for operation in the Arctic region, 18 self-elevating and 4 semi-submersible mobile offshore drilling units. Within the projects for of subsea pipelines construction in the last 5 years, the Register has certified more than 130,000 t of pipe products, 2,500 production units, 80,000 t of rolled plates. At present, 10 various types of subsea pipelines (oil, gas, multiphase, etc.) with a total length of about 600 km are operated under the RS class; another 10 pipelines are being designed and constructed under the RS technical supervision.
Today, the Register is involved in all national projects related to offshore hydrocarbon production: Kravtsovskoye oilfield in the Baltic Sea, the Yu. Korchagin and V. Filanovsky oil fields located in the North Caspian Sea, the Prirazlomnoye field in the Barents Sea and a technologically unique project – the Varandey fixed offshore ice-resistant off-loading terminal in the Barents Sea. By now, RS has completed the plan approval documentation review for the Rakushechnoye oil and gas field development in the Caspian Sea − ice-resistant fixed platform, living quarter platforms and three subsea pipelines for various purposes will be constructed under the RS technical supervision. After commissioning is over, the Rakushechnoye oil and gas field will be included in the integrated oil and gas sector with unified pipeline system, power supply with the Yu. Korchagin and V. Filanovsky oil fields already engaged in commercial oil production.
