Greek dry bulk ship owner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Uniper Global Commodities for one of its Ice Class Panamax dry bulk vessels.

Under the agreement, the company’s 77,529 dwt vessel Atalandi was hired at a gross charter rate of USD 13,500 per day for a period of fourteen to seventeen months.

The charter commenced on April 27, Diana Shipping said, adding that the employment is expected to generate some USD 5.67 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

The 2014-built Ice Class Panamax was previously chartered to Rotterdam-based Glencore Grain at a gross charter rate of USD 5,300 per day.
