Navis, a part of Cargotec Corporation, announced that Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT) upgraded to N4 3.4. The terminal will now be able to execute its plans for automation, efficiency and accuracy improvements.
ADT has upgraded its TOS to further reduce vessel and truck turnaround times, increase its terminal productivity and reduce costs per move, while reducing the risk of human error.
For this reason, ADT will continue its cooperation with Navis as its TOS provider, to improve its automation services.
ADT handles 1.6 million TEUs per year and is a crucial to UAE’s maritime infrastructure, as it is the main gateway to the Abu Dhabi market and significant hub for regional trade.
Arturo Garcia, Chief Information Officer at Abu Dhabi Terminals, noted:
"Migrating to a new system, even with the same provider, is a major undertaking for any terminal and poses many potential challenges. We will continue collaborating with Navis in the future to enhance and develop new functionalities in the system in order to keep ADT among the terminals around the world that are prepared to deliver high level automation services with a very high crane productivity."
