Container ship, ferry collide near Corsica

The container ship 'CSL Virginia' collided with the ferry 'Ulysse' near Corsica on Sunday, October 7. Both ships sustained damages, while no injuries have been reported.
At the time of the accident, 'CSL Virginia' was anchored north of Cap Corse, northern Corsica peninsula, when it was struck by 'Ulysse', which was heading from Genoa Italy to Tunis Tunisia.
The container ship sustained a several meters hull breach, with the ferry having damages to its bow.
After the collision responders from Italy, France and Monaco went on the scene to help with the cleanup of what is believed to be a fuel oil spill of almost two and a half miles.
As of now there are now indications that the weather was bad at the time of the incident.
