Liebherr-Transportation Systems secures HVAC maintenance contract from T2C
Liebherr-Transportation Systems has been contracted by Transport en Commun de l'Agglomération Clermontoise (T2C) Clermont-Ferrand (France) to provide repair services and spare parts for heating, air-conditioning and ventilation (HVAC) systems on-board the ST4 trams.
The award represents the second consecutive time the company has won the contract.
T2C operates 26 of the network's trams, which each comprise four saloon and two driver’s cab HVAC systems. The ST4 vehicles are manufactured by NewTransLohr SAS (NTL).
The three-year contract will see Liebherr provide on-demand repairs and associated spare parts to optimise the availability and performance of the HVAC systems, especially during the summer season.
Liebherr-Transportation Systems noted that this contract supports the company's ability to provide customers all the services they require according to their specific needs.
The contract also increases the possibility for T2C and Liebherr to work closely on dedicated improvement packages.
Additionally, Liebherr has announced it has been selected by Keolis Lyon to provide corrective and preventive maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
The two-year contract will see the company conduct mandatory yearly refrigerant leak-detection surveys, in addition to offering repairs and associated spare parts for the Citadis trams on demand.
Liebherr-Transportation Systems French Site head Eléonor Borrallo-Gautier said: “We are very proud of the confidence shown by Keolis Lyon, which is one of the largest public transportation operators in France, and we will dedicate the full extent of our wide expertise to ensure a high availability of the HVAC systems.”
Keolis Lyon currently operates a fleet of 73 Citadis 302 trams and 19 Citadis 402 vehicles.
The contract includes an option to extend for an additional two years.
