Duro Daković wins French wagon order
FRENCH wagon leasing company Atir Rail has awarded Duro Daković Specijalna Vozila, a susbsidiary of Croatian rolling stock manufacturer Duro Daković, a €5.2m contract to supply a batch of Shimms TTU wagons.
FRENCH wagon leasing company Atir Rail has awarded Duro Daković Specijalna Vozila, a susbsidiary of Croatian rolling stock manufacturer Duro Daković, a €5.2m contract to supply a batch of Shimms TTU wagons.
The four-axle covered wagons are designed for the transport of steel coils, primarily for use in the automotive industry.
The coils are placed in cradles equipped with a specially-designed fixing mechanism, and they are protected from meteorological effects and environmental influences by a movable tilt system.
This system enables the loading and unloading of the coils using a crane, magnet or C-hook hoist, as well as a lateral approach for loading using a forklift truck.
In February, the Croatian company was awarded a €4.6m contract to supply Shimms TTU wagons to ERR European Rail Rent, Germany.
Duro Daković Specijalna Vozila is the only manufacturer of freight wagons in Croatia.
