UK: TfL Go App Update to Provide Contactless & Oyster History

Transport for London (TfL) has released a new update to its free TfL Go app, allowing users to track their fare and journey history without the need for a third party application.
The update gives users the ability to access either their contactless or Oyster online account in order to view previous journeys directly within the app itself, removing the need to split use across several different applications.
The update is set to be rolled out to users over the next few weeks, after which TfL will aim to begin closing down both its Oyster and Contactless apps shortly thereafter.
“We are proud to be able to bring this latest update to our TfL Go app and help make it easier for people to check their journey history and top up their Oyster card on the go. Our free TfL Go app has now seen more than seven million downloads since it launched, and is a key way for both regular users of our network, and those visiting for the first time, to plan their routes around London.
“By providing up-to-date information on their journeys, as well as detailed real-time accessibility information, we can help make it easier for customers to move around the city.”
First launched in 2020, the TfL Go app will now allow users to make full use of more than 700 stations across London and the South East now accepting contactless, pay as you go payments, with a further 47 stations set to be added on 02 February.
The app also provides real-time information on all public transport services across the capital, as well as suggestions on alternative routes and information on public amenities situated at a slew of stations.
