Significant Growth in Exports from Mahirood Border over 11-Month Period
(Tehran - RMTO News) _ The Director General for South Khorasan Provincial RMTO has reported a substantial increase in goods exported through the Mahirood border during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year.
Asadollah Jalalzadeh announced that a total of 622,308 tons of goods were exported, marking a 45.7% growth compared to the same period last year.
Jalalzadeh detailed that the exported goods primarily consisted of cement, petroleum products, iron and steel, tiles and ceramics, as well as vegetables. He also highlighted a significant rise in the transit of incoming goods through the Mahirood border, which reached 1,648 tons—representing a remarkable 104% increase compared to the corresponding period last year.
These figures underscore the growing role of the Mahirood border in facilitating regional trade and bolstering economic activity in South Khorasan.
