Implementation of 5,000 Road Projects Focused on Tourism Development

(Tehran RMTO News) The Deputy Minister and Chairman of the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization announced the implementation of 5,000 road projects nationwide, with a dedicated stress on enhancing infrastructure in cities with significant tourism potential. These projects aim to improve road conditions and facilitate access to rural and tourist areas, endeavoring directed toward completion by the current Iranian year, contingent on adequate funding.

According to the Dr. Reza Akbari, speaking during his visit to Hamedan Province, the comprehensive scope of these initiatives, were stressed, where His Excellensy stated: The projects include the improvement and asphalt paving of main and secondary roads, the construction and enhancement of rural roads, addressing black-spot areas to improve road safety and reduce incidents, as well as modernizing road machinery to deliver more efficient and prompt crisis response services.

During His Excellency visit to Nahavand city to inspect ongoing road management and transport projects, Dr. Akbari highlighted the city's importance as a hub for tourism and cultural heritage. He announced plans to expedite the completion of unfinished projects in the area by next year, reiterating that securing transportation routes in Nahavand and other cities with natural, historical, and tourist attractions would remain a priority for the organization in the upcoming Iranian Year.


Dr. Akbari also noted that portions of the Arbaeen pilgrimage route pass through Nahavand, underlining the significance of ensuring road safety and enhancing traffic status for both pilgrims and tourists. By completing ongoing projects, we aim to improve safety and ease of travel for all visitors to this region, he added.
