Over 8.3 Million Passengers Transported by Public Transport Fleet during Nowruz 1404
The Director General for the Department of Passengers Transport at the Road Maintenane and Transportation Organization announced that 8,314,503 passengers were transported across the country by the public road passenger transport fleet during the Nowruz travel period (March 15 to April 15, 1404, accordingly).

According to Daryoush Bagherjavan, a significant 25.2% increase in Nowruz passenger transport, compared to the same period in past Iranian Year has been reported, stating that 64% of passengers traveled on intra-provincial routes, while 36% utilized extra-provincial routes.
Mr. Bagherjavan further detailed the breakdown of transport methods: 56.8% of passengers were transported by the bus fleet, 33.4% by the minibus fleet, while 9.8% used public license plate rental vehicles within intercity routes.
He also reported that 755,918 road passenger transport trips were carried out during the Nowruz travel period, marking a 4.8% increase compared to the previous year.
Stressing the RMTO's efforts to enhance public transport services for Nowruz travelers, Mr. Bagherjavan noted that 65% of the total trips were conducted on intra-provincial routes, with the remaining 35% on extra-provincial routes. This improvement reflects the organization's commitment to providing better travel experiences during one of the busiest holiday seasons in the country.
