A joint meeting of the Non-Oil Export Development Workgroup and the Border Trade Coordination Council was convened at the Mehran border, focusing on transit-related issues and the establishment of a free trade zone.

The meeting, attended by the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, alongside the Deputy Governor for Economic Coordination of Ilam Province, explored strategies for enhancing exports, organizing border trade and boosting the role of the Mehran border in regional trade exchanges.
Seyed Zahedin Cheshmeh-Khavar, Director General of Ilam Provincial RMTO Department, along with a group of provincial and local officials, also participated in the discussions.
