PORR completes Heijmans Oevermann acquisition
TIN news: PORR Deutschland’s subsidiary PORR has completed the acquisition of German road construction company Heijmans Oevermann.
Last month, PORR signed a purchase agreement to acquire Heijmans Oevermann for €60m and it has been approved by the concerned competition authorities.
PORR anticipates that this acquisition would strengthen its presence in traffic, as well as building construction sectors in Germany.
PORR CEO Karl-Heinz Strauss said: “The acquisition of Oevermann marks an important step in expanding our market position in Germany.
“The regional presence of Oevermann and its competencies in traffic construction strengthens PORR Deutschland as a full-service provider.”
With the completion of this acquisition, Oevermann will continue to operate under the same name but will become a wholly owned subsidiary of PORR Deutschland.
Heijmans Oevermann has its expertise in the realisation of traffic routes such as motorways, highways and country roads, airfields and logistics sites.
Oevermann has also carried out building construction projects for its public and private clients, which includes office buildings, residential and commercial properties, hotels, schools, hospitals and retirement homes.
With a workforce of nearly 700 employees, the construction company is active across various regions in Germany, including the North-Rhine Westphalia region, Hesse, Lower Saxony, Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.
Since 2007, Heijmans Oevermann was part of the Dutch construction company Heijmans, headquartered in Rosmalen.
