US-based software developer Trafficware has released Version 2.7 of its ATMS.now Central Transportation Management Systems.

The latest version will have more than 20 updates and new features.

The expanded BlueTOAD integration of real-time vehicle data onto Bing Maps is one of the major inclusions in the latest version, which enables traffic engineers to access the real-time travel durations, current and historical speeds, as well as speed limit data and respond to roadway conditions.

"Users will have the option to define the devices displayed on the Bing Map at specified zoom levels for a further layer of insight into their transportation network."

Currently, Trafficware devices are deployed at more than 40,000 intersections globally, and cities such as Houston, Las Vegas, Orlando, New Orleans, Palo Alto, and Cairo, Egypt use Trafficware’s ATMS.now system to manage their complex transportation networks.
