Deals this week: Kapsch TrafficCom, European Investment Bank (EIB), AS Nordecon
E-470 Public Highway Authority (E-470) has awarded a five-year contract to intelligent transport systems provider Kapsch TrafficCom to supply 6C toll tags for ExpressToll account holders in Colorado, US.
The toll tags can be used by account holders for the current all-electronic toll (AET) collection system on the E-470 highway, as well as with other toll facilities across the state.
A loan of €325m ($373.7m) has been sanctioned by the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the development of three separate sections of S7 and S8 expressways in Masovian Voivodship, Poland.
The loan will be used to develop a total length of 110km including two sections of a dual-carriage expressway on S8 between Wyszków and the border of the Masovian Voivodship, as well as a 71km dual carriage expressway between Napierki and Plonsk.
AS Nordecon has secured a contract from the Estonian Road Administration to rebuild a section of Tallinn Ring Road between 600m and 2.8km in Tallinn, Estonia.
The scope of the contract includes construction of 2+2 cross-sectional road, two new independent flyovers with a length of 100m, replacing the existing Väo railway flyover and constructing Veneküla tunnel.
The US Department of Transportation’s (USDoT) Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will provide $226.5m for transit bus projects as part of the Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Infrastructure Investment Program.
The programme provides funds to improve the state of bus infrastructure across the US. A minimum of 10% of funds will be allocated to the rural bus needs.
