Siemens, Trakcja PRKiI
Siemens has been selected by the German state of Hesse to construct a new overhead contact line for electrified freight transport on a 10km stretch of the A5 federal motorway.
The new contact line will be laid between the Zeppelinheim / Cargo City Süd and Darmstadt / Weiterstadt interchanges.
Designed to supply electricity to hybrid trucks, the contact line is a part of the electrified, innovative heavy freight transport on autobahns (ELISA) joint project initiated by Germany's Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB).
Trakcja PRKiI was awarded a contract for the reconstruction and extension of a 3km section of Wawelska Street in Pila, Poland.
The section extends from an intersection with the No. 203 Tczew-Kostrzyn railway line to an intersection with the No. 18 Kutno-Pila line.
Scheduled for completion in late 2018, the project includes the construction of a separate bicycle path, pavements, bus bays with passenger platforms, and curbs.
In addition, Trakcja will construct new shelters at the bus stops, and a new lighting system with control devices along the road.
