The City of Munich has announced it is employing the services of Populus and Rupprecht Consult to collect and analyze traffic data, to support its climate-neutral Mobility Strategy 2035.

Populus’s Mobility Manager Platform will assist with data collection, particularly focused on shared mobility services. It will enable real-time monitoring of bikes, e-scooters, and other shared vehicles, providing city officials with crucial insights for decision-making.

Rupprecht Consult will refine a scientifically grounded indicator system to allow Munich to accurately assess the effectiveness of its shared mobility initiatives.

The new services will provide predictive analytics, automated reporting tools and integration with existing city infrastructure, to create actionable insights as the city works towards its goal of climate-neutral mobility by 2035.

“At Populus, we are committed to helping cities navigate the complexities of modern transportation,” added Regina Clewlow CEO and co-founder of Populus. “Our collaboration with Munich aligns perfectly with our mission to support sustainable urban mobility.
