Kazakhstan-based SCAT Airlines took delivery of the first of six Boeing 737-8s it has on order, becoming the first airline in Central Asia to receive a MAX family aircraft.

SCAT announced the order for six 737-8s, valued at $674 million, at the 2017 Dubai Air Show. It also has purchase rights for five more 737-8s.

SCAT, which is 20 years old, operates a fleet of one 767-300, four 757-200s, one 737-700, three 737-300s, three 737-500 and six Bombardier CRJ200s, according to its website.
