Russian transportation and logistics company Fesco has formed an intermodal LNG shipping partnership with China’s Best Ship Energy Management and Zhejiang Rui Neng Ocean Shipping.
The company explained that the move would see the parties jointly develop intermodal transportation of LNG in tanker containers from Russia to China.
Fesco would develop logistics schemes for transporting the containers using liner services to the southern and central provinces of China, or land-based regular services to the country’s northern provinces.
The company added that it is also ready to offer its rolling stock and fleet.
The Chinese duo, employed in domestic market LNG tank transportation and transportation of LNG bunker fuel, would be responsible for providing tank containers and for LNG sales in China.
Additionally, the companies revealed their expansion plans as they are looking to bring their joint LNG transportation services to other Asia-Pacific countries.
