RZD awards 327-loco supply and maintenance contracts

Transmashholding has signed two contracts to supply main line locomotives to Russian Railways. For the first time TMH will take sole responsibility for whole-life maintenance of locos it has supplied to the national operator.
Announcing the contracts on April 4, TMH said it expected the inclusion of long-term maintenance would reduce the operator’s costs while also increasing fleet availability.
TMH currently maintains EP20 dual-voltage passenger locomotives for RZD, EG2Tv Ivolga electric multiple-units for Central PPK since 2017 and 81-760/761 Oka trainsets suppled to Moscow Metro in 2012-17 and well as 81-765/81-766/81-767 Moskva sets which are currently being delivered
