The summit follows the success of its Railway Interior Innovation Summit North America that took place in Montreal earlier this year, and was attended by manufacturers, operators, designers, suppliers, associations and government agencies. This time, sessions will include a panel discussion on luxury train interiors, a roundtable on circularity as well as many networking opportunities across the three days.

With decision-makers in train interiors all set to attend, the event aims to enhance collaboration across the entire value chain to better the passenger experience. Deutsche Bahn, Norske Tog, OBB, as well as Stadler, Alstom and CAF will all be in attendance.

The summit will provide delegates with the opportunity to explore the major challenges and trends faced by the railway interior industry, including the evolution of train interiors, sustainability, collaboration and the passenger experience. On day three, delegates will be treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Siemens facility.

Monica Wick, founder and CEO at RedCabin, said:

“With more passengers turning to rail as a sustainable form of travel, it’s exciting to be welcoming delegates to Germany to hear leading discussions on the future of the rail. The summit continues to be a place of innovation and collaboration, with this event also home to the Rail Interiors Awards, which are taking place on the penultimate day of the summit.”

The Rail Interior Awards, a collaboration project between Mark Allen Group and RedCabin, comprises six categories, each focusing on specific engineering or design disciplines. The awards were created to showcase excellence in the rail interiors industry. The trophy is designed by zweigrad Design and produced by Sekisui Kydex.

The Railway Interior Innovation Summit 2024 is sponsored by: Sekisui Kydex, Senoplast, Perrone, 3M, Lantal, Wabtec, PriestmanGoode, BFW Group.
