26,000 foreign tourists visit Gilan in 6 months
About 26 000 foreign tourists stayed in tourist resorts and hotels of Gilan province since the beginning of new Iranian year starting from March 21 until August 22nd, Director-General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Guilan province Shahroud Amir Entekhabi said on Monday.
About 26 000 foreign tourists stayed in tourist resorts and hotels of Gilan province since the beginning of new Iranian year starting from March 21 until August 22nd, Director-General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Guilan province Shahroud Amir Entekhabi said on Monday.
Amir Entekhabi said in an interview that the number of foreign tourists staying in Gilan province increased 10% compared to the same period last year.
Gilan province is one of the northern provinces of Iran that extends along the Caspian Sea. This region is inhabited by local people who are called Gilaks.
