Masoud Tabibi made the remrks touching upon the Qom city management’s plan regarding implementing the longitudinal safe distance symbols of vehicle s in the city streets.
He said that according to Article 173 of the Traffic Regulations, drivers must maintain a proper longitudinal distance from the front vehicle.
The municipality official stressed the importance of maintaining the longitudinal safe distance between passenger cars, add that maintaining the longitudinal safe distance has a direct effect on reducing accidents and control of passenger cars by drivers.
Referring to the implementation of the plan to maintain the longitudinal safe distance in the city of Qom, he noted that in this plan, Qom Municipality designed yellow symbols along the route on boulevards and city streets.
The longitudinal distance between the car and the car in front is principled and safe when the driver can easily see at least two yellow symbols drawn on the axis, Tabibi added.
this project has been implemented in the first phase on Ghadir Boulevard and will gradually will be implemented in other the city’s atreets, he said.
