TIN news:  Romania’s ports handled more than 49.1 MMT of cargoes for the first ten months of the current year, or 2.69% more than at the same time a year ago, reports UkrAgrConsult.
The best gain was seen in handling of fertilizers: up 82.31% year-on-year, whereas coal traffic showed the worst result: down 35.85%.
Grain continues to be a key cargo: 16.2 MMT handled for the ten months (down 4.82%). Exactly this type of cargoes is expected to drive growth of freight traffic in Romania’s ports in the coming months. This is contributed to by a good grain harvest in the country.
