Grand Est to order 21 trains from Alstom
THE first 54.9m-long Alstom Citadis LRV for Dublin’s Luas light rail network arrived at the city’s Sandyford depot on November 16 after completing its journey from Alstom’s plant in La Rochelle, France.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland placed a €36.5m order in November 2015 for seven of the nine-section vehicles, which are 11.6m longer than the Citadis vehicles currently in operation on the Green Line.
The order will expand Dublin’s Citadis fleet to 66 vehicles in readiness for the opening of the Cross City Line.
