The ‘Ruixue Yingchun’ Fuxing intelligent electric multiple unit (EMU) train, developed by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles, has commenced operation between Harbin West Railway Station and Qiqihar South Railway Station in Heilongjiang Province.

The CR400BF-C high-cold intelligent EMU, previously deployed during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, provides services tailored to winter destinations in Northeast China.

The train features an exterior design that incorporates elements of ice, snow, and sports.

The train consists of eight carriages, offering business, first, and second-class seating options, along with a dining bar. Car 5 is designed for business travellers, featuring 12 workstations equipped with international power outlets and adjustable tray tables.

Intelligent systems are integrated into the train’s design, including automatic restroom lighting and an energy-efficient air conditioning system. The water system incorporates a recycling function, reducing water consumption by 10 percent. A smart monitoring system continuously assesses the train’s condition, identifying potential faults in real time.

The aerodynamic structure of the train, influenced by the shapes of falcons and marlins, is designed to reduce air resistance. The train is built to operate reliably in temperatures as low as -40°C. Features such as precise sanding devices and heating systems contribute to safe operation in icy conditions.

Facilities for winter sports travellers include ski storage areas in Cars 1, 4, and 8. The train also includes an accessible carriage with designated wheelchair spaces, an accessible restroom, and platform compensators to enhance accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility.
