Under the contract, ST Engineering Urban Solutions will be responsible for project management and systems integration. It will also supply rail electronics, including the communications system, automatic fare collection system, platform screen doors, and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system.
Additionally, the company will oversee the construction of the above-ground train depot.
The contract spans around 14 years and is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2025.
The wider consortium will see Alstom provide the signalling system, CTCI handle the power supply system, and Hyundai Rotem deliver the rolling stock.
