Over 104,000 Road Maintenance Operations Executed During Nowruz 1404 Travel Plan
The Deputy for Road Maintenance at the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization has confirmed the successful execution of over 104,000 road maintenance operations during the Nowruz 1404 travel period. These activities included road patching, debris removal, road clearance, and the repair of traffic signs across the national road network.

Dr. Mehran Qorbani stated that the plan, which ran from March 15 to April 3, 2025, involved approximately 10,000 personnel utilizing 8,700 pieces of road maintenance machinery. These resources were deployed across 1,153 operational road maintenance bases to ensure seamless service delivery for citizens and Nowruz holiday travelers.
During this period, emergency support was extended to 2,700 vehicles on national roads, while emergency accommodations were arranged for over 2,000 travelers. Furthermore, 1,200 road patrols were conducted to enhance safety and monitor road conditions, alongside 1,200 measures taken to prevent encroachments on road boundaries.
Dr. Qorbani emphasized the critical importance of addressing road travel safety during the increased traffic associated with Nowruz. In addition to safety planning and awareness campaigns aimed at reducing traffic accidents, over 10,000 banners featuring safety messages were installed along national highways to promote cautious driving.
